Title: Scales and the Singular Cardinals Hypothesis

Abstract:

(Joint work with Dima Sinapova)

In this series of talks I will present the following recent result which answers a question posed by Woodin in the 80's.

Assuming that there is a supercompact cardinal it is consistent that the singular cardinals hypothesis (SCH) fails at אω and there is a bad scale at אω.
